Hydra Books Opening Audio
Hydra books opened with a talk by Ian Bone on Saturday. Around 70 people turned up to listen to the talk and smell the still wet paint. Also, on Scouse Sunday Steve Higginson gave a talk about the 1911 dockers strike in Liverpool and Sheila Coleman from the Hillsborough Justice Campaign gave an update on the parliamentary debate, the Hillsborough Panel and the BBC's freedom of information request. By GBT The original copy of this leaflet was in the possion of Jack Cooper from 1917/18 until, following his death, it was found in his sideboard and passed to his grandaughter. It is now preserved, framed behind glass, in the condition in which you see it. Jack (1886-1973) was born in Ebbw Vale where he worked as an engineer in the steel industry from the age of 14 -21yrs. The details of this years Radical History Zone at the Bristol Anarchist Bookfair have finally been thrashed out and the details release to the world.
