An offspring of Greek immigrants from Lakonia, southern Greece, George is associate professor in the Department of Philosophy, University of Southern Maine, USA. George has been investigating the British philosophers of capitalism of the 17th and 18th C. His publications include Exciting the Industry of Mankind George Berkeley’s Philosophy of Money and Clipped Coins, Abused Words and Civil Government: John Locke’s Philosophy of Money. He is currently working on David Hume.
