Ghada Dimashk is an Arabic Resources Specialist in Research and Instruction Services at Jafet Library, American University of Beirut. An experienced Archivist and Metadata Librarian specializing in Middle Eastern heritage, her work focuses on preserving and cataloging the cultural heritage of Lebanon and Palestine. She previously worked as Librarian and Archivist at the Palestine Land Studies Center (PLSC) at the American University of Beirut (AUB), where she led initiatives to establish precise cataloging and archival systems. Her work includes developing structured archival policies and a specialized thesaurus for Palestinian heritage, as well as archiving social media documentation of the Gaza war—recognized as the first real-time social media archiving project conducted during an ongoing war. She brings over a decade of experience in cataloging and implementing RDA standards at the Lebanese National Library.
