The Bristol #WithMyanmar Group formed as an online support and solidarity group highlighting the resistance against the military coup of February 2021, and the murderous nature of that coup.
Offline, the Group has numerous contacts with progressive groups and individuals inside and
outside Myanmar. It helps raise funds for such groups, lobbies against the Myanmar government and
military, attends protests in London, and supports refugees and migrants from Myanmar.
The Group is made up of Bristolians with experience of living in and on the borders of
Myanmar, some for upto 40 years, and also of people from Myanmar now living in Bristol.
