The latest two titles, bring us a case study of Victorian policing in Huddersfield Beats, Backstreets and Brothels<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by David Taylor and\u00a0Persisting in the Truth<\/em><\/a><\/strong> by Andrew Shields, a biographical study of Irish activist journalist Peter Finnerty (c.1774-1822) one of the most ‘combative and consequential journalists of the Age of Revolutions’.<\/p>\n

Both books, which are beautifully produced (as usual) are reasonably priced and have special offer prices.<\/p>\n
