\"\"Screening of short film, \u2018Water\u2019s Date with Death\u2019 (Directed by Ali Erg\u00fcl, 2017)\u00a0about the threat the construction of the Ilisu Dam poses to people, archaeological heritage and biodiversity at the site of the 12000 year old settlement at Hasankeyf in south-east Turkey\/Bak\u00fbr (north Kurdistan).<\/p>\n

This will be followed by a short talk about the aspirations to implement ecological sustainability, a central principle of the Kurdish struggle in Bak\u00fbr and Rojava (Democratic Federation of Northern Syria).<\/p>\n

The Global Action Day for Hasankeyf and S\u00fbr\/Amed<\/a> is the following week.<\/p>\n\n
