Starts and leaves outside of the front of M Shed.<\/p>\n

Our first stop will be outside of the Merchant Venturers\u2019 Almshouses (at the Broad Quay end of King Street), where the Merchant Venturers successfully petitioned for Bristol\u2019s involvement in the \u2018African Trade\u2019 in 1698. We will cross Queen Square to Redcliffe Street and on to the Seven Stars. This will feature Abolitionists Thomas Clarkson, Wulfstan and the Quakers.<\/p>\n

On into Castle Park and Colston\u2019s sugar refinery, past All Saints (where Edward Colston is buried), his Broad Street statue, his Centre statue and the rest of Colston Corner. We will then reference Abolitionists John Wesley, the Broadmead Baptists and Unitarians, then Park Street Abolitionists Mary Carpenter and Mary Estlin while proceeding to finish at Pero\u2019s Bridge opposite the M Shed.<\/p>\n\n
